Some people come into your life and they clap when you win. Others come into your life and they help you become the type of man who cannot lose.
Rahsaan Carlton is not just an athletic director. He is not just a leader on Penn State Harrisburg’s campus. He is one of those rare people who quietly changes lives without needing credit. One of those pillars that holds people up when they are still learning how to stand.
Since 2010 Rahsaan has been a mentor to Bryan Majors. That is not a light statement. That is a relationship built through years. Through seasons. Through pressure. Through growth. Through real life.
Because mentorship is not just advice. Mentorship is presence. Mentorship is sacrifice. Mentorship is being there when it is not convenient. Being consistent when others disappear. Being strong enough to correct someone while still loving them enough to believe in them.
That is what Rahsaan has been.
People see the brand now. They see the momentum. They see the success of Major Prep Apparel. But what they do not always see is the human behind it. The grind behind it. The moments behind it.
The moments where you question yourself. The moments where you feel alone. The moments where you are carrying a dream that feels too big for your hands.
Rahsaan Carlton was there in those years. Not just watching. Guiding. Not just supporting. Sharpening.
He helped mold Bryan’s mindset. He helped reinforce discipline. He helped teach what leadership really costs.
Because real mentors do not just tell you what you want to hear. They tell you what you need to hear. And Rahsaan did that with love. With honor. With standard.
Penn State Harrisburg is blessed to have Rahsaan Carlton. Not because of a title. Not because of a position. But because he has always been bigger than the job.
As a former star athlete he understands competition. He understands confidence. He understands what it means to fight for something. And he has taken that same fire and poured it into developing student athletes as people. Helping them grow as leaders. Helping them build identity. Helping them build discipline. Helping them build their future.
Rahsaan does not just lead teams. He leads lives.
And there are student athletes walking around today who will become great fathers great husbands great professionals and great leaders because Rahsaan Carlton refused to let them stay average.
This year marks Year 2 of the Penn State Harrisburg and Major Prep Apparel “I HAVE A DREAM” class partnership.
And you have to understand what that means.
This is not just apparel. This is not just a collaboration. This is not just another partnership.
This is family. This is belief. This is legacy.
Because the same way Rahsaan helped develop Bryan as a young man is the same heart behind this partnership. It is about pouring into the next generation. It is about showing students what excellence looks like. It is about giving them a standard they can grow into.
This partnership is a reflection of mentorship. A reflection of guidance. A reflection of what happens when leaders build leaders. And Rahsaan has played an intricate role in guiding Major Prep Team Apparel to new heights through this relationship.
There comes a moment in life where you stop moving long enough to honor the people who helped protect your life. Not just your career. Not just your opportunities. Your life.
Rahsaan Carlton deserves that honor.
Because some people help you win. But mentors like him help you become.
He helped Bryan believe bigger. He helped Bryan lead stronger. He helped Bryan carry the weight of purpose with discipline and humility.
He helped make sure Major Prep was not just a brand. But a mission.
From Bryan Majors. From Major Prep Apparel. From every student athlete impacted through this work. From everyone who believes in guidance and brotherhood and legacy.
Thank you Rahsaan.
Thank you for standing in the gap. Thank you for the wisdom. Thank you for the standard. Thank you for the love. Thank you for showing us what real leadership looks like.
You are not just a pillar in the Penn State Harrisburg community. You are a life changer. And we honor you.
