Amaya Watson and La’Miyah Howze, this one is for you.

Before the next goal gets accomplished, before graduation opens another chapter, before life carries you toward places you have only imagined, we want you to pause long enough to hear this:

You are already giving your families reasons to be proud.

There is something beautiful about watching young ladies grow into their own voices. Watching them begin to understand that their choices matter, their presence has value, and their dreams deserve effort.

Amaya and La’Miyah, you are amazing young ladies, leaders, and goal getters. Your futures hold possibility, and the people who love you get to witness something special: the women you are becoming.

In this photo, the words behind you say, “Trust the Process.”

Carry those words with you.

Some of the most meaningful parts of growing up happen quietly. Learning to trust yourself. Choosing responsibility. Finding the courage to try again after disappointment. Understanding that you can be kind and still have boundaries, confident and still be teachable, ambitious and still make room for others.

Every one of those choices helps shape your future.

And we see you.

To the Families Who Have Loved Them Into This Moment

When the world looks at this picture, it sees two smiling young ladies with their futures ahead of them.

Their families see years.

They remember smaller hands. Earlier chapters. The first days of school. The moments they wished they could slow down and the moments they prayed their girls would find their way through.

A picture like this can hold all of that at once.

There is joy in seeing your children grow, and a tenderness that comes with realizing how quickly it happens. You spend years helping them learn to stand on their own, then one day you look up and see them beginning to do it.

To the parents and families of Amaya and La’Miyah: take a moment to let yourselves feel proud.

The love you have poured into them matters. So do your encouragement, your guidance, your corrections, and your presence. Even when young people cannot yet put their gratitude into words, what you give them can become part of how they move through the world.

And girls, one day you may understand those sacrifices differently. Until then, know this: being loved by people who care about your future is a gift worth protecting.

As you continue growing, here are three lessons we hope you carry with you.

1. Give Your Goals a Place in Your Daily Life

Dream boldly. Say what you want for your life without shrinking it to make other people comfortable.

Then write it down and give it a plan.

What do you want to accomplish? Why does it matter to you? What can you do this week to move closer?

A goal becomes more powerful when you can connect it to a choice you make today. Ask the question in class. Finish the assignment. Practice the skill. Apply for the opportunity. Ask someone experienced to help you.

You do not need to have your whole life figured out. You need a direction and the willingness to take the next step.

Give your future something to thank you for.

2. Learn How to Encourage Yourself

There will be days when you feel confident and days when you question yourself. Both are part of growing.

On the difficult days, pay attention to how you speak to yourself.

Let your inner voice sound like someone who wants you to succeed. Someone honest enough to say, “I need to improve,” and loving enough to add, “I can learn.”

Keep evidence of your progress. Remember something you once found difficult that you can do now. Let that remind you that growth takes time.

Motivation will come and go. Build habits that help you keep your promises to yourself, even when the excitement fades.

And when you need support, ask for it. Strong young women deserve encouragement, guidance, and rest, too.

A hard day does not erase how far you have come.

3. Make Room for the People Who Love You

As your world gets bigger, stay connected to the people who have cared about you through every chapter.

Say thank you. Return the call. Take the picture. Spend the time. Let your family know when something they taught you helped you make a good decision.

You can pursue an extraordinary life and still be present for the people you love.

And remember that you never have to earn your place in your family through accomplishments. You deserve love while you are learning, while you are uncertain, and while you are finding your way.

Make them proud through your character, and let them love you through the process.

You Are Exactly What Major Prep Represents

Amaya and La’Miyah, Major Prep stands for preparation, leadership, resilience, faith, and legacy.

We see those values in the example you are building as young ladies with goals and people who believe in you.

Preparation is taking your future seriously.

Leadership is recognizing that your example can encourage someone else.

Resilience is finding the courage to keep growing through challenges.

Faith is trusting God with the steps you cannot yet see while taking responsibility for the steps you can.

Legacy is understanding that how you live can create possibilities for the people coming after you.

That is why you represent Major Prep.

Your lives are still unfolding. Give yourselves permission to learn. Choose friendships that respect your future. Protect your peace. Celebrate each other. Keep your hearts open and your standards strong.

Somewhere, a younger girl may see your example and begin to believe more is possible for her, too.

To your families, may this moment remind you that your love is helping raise young women with something meaningful to give the world.

To Amaya Watson and La’Miyah Howze:

We are proud of you right now.

Before the next achievement. Before the next celebration. Right here, in this chapter.

Keep becoming young women you are proud to be. Keep giving your goals your effort and your families your love.

You are seen. You are valued. You are making your families proud.

You are Major Prep.

Preparation Breeds Greatness.
